Here are a few shots taken after a very large tree decided
that gravity was getting too much for it:
This is the tree, which started coming down back in February
but didn't hit the ground until July, after a little help from
a chain-saw.
Barry Harrison and Bill Purvis cutting up a large branch that
had come down amongst the Holly bushes. Barry in the orange hat!
That's the main trunk behind the track. We had planned to
dismantle part of the track just in case it didn't come down
where we wanted it, but the chain-saw maniacs got in first.
(Mike and Dave wish to remain anonymous).
Barrie Purslow was doing his best to break Ray Smiths
chipper/shredder. I hope Ray has it insured against vandalism.
